"H O P E I N T O A C T I O N"
The Faith and Family Campaign is an effort to raise between $325,000 and $675,000 over a five-year period (2007-2011) to accomplish these projects:
- renovate fellowship hall - our church's living room, dining room, and kitchen
- initiate new ministries for children and youth
- re-surface the church parking lots
- put a new roof over fellowship hall
- install a new boiler - or replace key components of current heating system
- increase mission giving to the United Church of Christ and community ministries
- build our endowment
- additional projects as income allows
The congregation approved the campaign in December 2006. Pledges have been sought from members and friends. As of June 2008, $536,000 has been pledged to Faith and Family, and $218,000 has been collected. $20,500 has been paid back to the Endowment. Thanks be to God!
Last year, an architect was retained to help us get started on the fellowship hall project. At our December, 2007 congregational meeting the church approved an overall spending plan for the funds, and an architectural drawing was unveiled. Fellowship Hall will be renovated in two phases, the first of which has begun.
The new roof and airconditioning have been installed. New carpet, fabric wall panels, tables and chairs will be in place by the end of August. God is good!
