What's what and when's when....

Sunday morning worship is at 9:30 a.m., with nursery care for children three years of age and younger.        

Following the children's sermon (about 9:45), children age four through fifth grade are dismissed to Sunday School.  Throughout the summer our "one room Sunday School" for pre-school through fifth grade will be learning about a different part of the worship service each Sunday.

Sat., August 2.  Senior High Youth return from their mission trip.

Sun., August 3.    

     9:30 a.m.  Worship and Sunday School.  Communion.  Carl hansen, organist.  Brad Doty, vocal soloist.  Pastor Jeffrey preaches part two of his sermon series on preaching.    

     10:30 a.m. Coffee and Refreshments in fellowship hall.

     11:00 a.m. Pastoral Relations Committee.

Mon., August 4.  Pastor on vacation today through Monday, August 11, back in the office on Tuesday, Aug. 12.  If you need pastoral care during this time, call the church during office hours (Monday through Fri., 9:00-noon), and you will be referred to a pastor.

Tues., Aug. 5.  Council meets at 7:00 p.m.

Thurs., Aug. 7.  Work Crew 9:00 a.m.  St. John Crafters 1:00 p.m.  Spiritual Life Committee 7:00 p.m.

Sun., August 10.    Food PantrySunday.  Bring something non-perishable for the poor.

     9:30 a.m. Worship and Sunday School.  The senior highs share stories from their recent mission trip to Zanesville, Ohio, where they reparied homes of the poor and elderly.  Paul Cochran, guest organist.

     10:30 a.m. Refreshments.

Tuesday, Aug. 12.  Pastor Jeffrey back in the office.  Stewardship Committee meets at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 14.  Work Crew at 9:00 a.m.

Friday, Aug. 15.  9:00 a.m. Deadline for the September issue of the Journal, our church newsletter.

Sun., August 17.   

     9:30 a.m. Worship and Sunday School.  Pastor Jeffrey preaches part three of his five-part sermon series on preaching.  Paul Cochran, organist.  Stephanie Abudayeh, music.

     10:30 a.m. Refreshments.
