Welcome to St. John UCC of Arlington Heights! We are an inclusive, multigenerational, welcoming and accepting community of around 350 people seeking to follow Jesus' "Great Commandment" to love God and all of our neighbors. We are an Open and Affirming, "God is Still Speaking" congregation of the United Church of Christ.

We are located in beautiful downtown Arlington Heights, across from North School Park at Evergreen and St. James (2 1/2 blocks SW of Arlington Heights Road and Euclid Avenue).

Whoever you are, wherever you are on your life's journey, you are welcome here (and we really mean it)!

 Upcoming mission activities and events:

  • Care Packages For College Students Collection (October 12 through November 2): We are asking for donations of microwave popcorn, ramen noodles, granola bars, instant oatmeal, hot chocolate mix, gum, candy, cookies, crackers, fun pencils, small packages of facial tissue, and gift cards for our 16 college students. Drop off donations in Fellowship Hall.
  • The Junior Auxiliary of the American Legion will be hosting a bake sale on Sunday, October 19 and are in need of donations. If you would be interested in baking for the sale, bring your baked good donations to church no later than Saturday, October 18 at 5:00 p.m. and leave on the kitchen counter. They will then be dropped off at the Legion Hall across from Rec Park in Arlington Heights. Funds from the bake sale will benefit the Junior Auxiliary‚Äôs pocket flag project on October 26. On October 26, the Junior Auxiliary will be partnering with the Indian Princesses to make the pocket flags for our military personnel and cards for the Honor Flight program. Projects like these are all accomplished with volunteers, so if you are able to assist in baking items for the bake sale, please contact Ed or Carol Kuhl.
  • The community food pantry that St. John supports at Church of the Cross, 2025 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights is always in need of volunteers and extra donations. The pantry depends on members of the community to stay viable while it sees an increased number of families who need their services.
